Forced SUS Updates at XP logon

Hi folks.
I've got a Windows 2000 (SP4) server environment and
Windows XP (SP1) clients. The SUS server is setup and
ready to go. Every user is a local administrator on their
XP workstation.

My boss wants updates deployed at logon, with no user
intervention possible. Logon...update...reboot... I've
looked at the "deploy" white paper in a fair amount of
detail and will continue to do so, but I don't see a way
to do this.

Is it possible? Your thoughts are appreciated very much.

Thanks,
Geno

I believe this or similar scenario is described somewhere in SUS white
paper. You will need to setup AU to autodownload and schedule the install at
non-working time (default 3:00am is fine). Then you configure Reschedule
Automatic Updates scheduled installations policy wit timeout ,say, 1 minute.
This configuration will result in following behavior:
AU downloads updates according to builtin 17-22hrs schedule and sets updates
to be installed at 3:00am. Obviously at this time workstations are turned
off. Next morning installation will occur 1 minute after Windows is started.
If update requires reboot corresponding pop up window will appear.

Though it is not exactly "install at logon" scenario but very close. AFAIK
there's no other solution.

Many of the new patches with XPSP2 will be downloaded during "office
time" then install completed upon logoff.
