forced chkdsk

Each time when I boot up a message appears stating that oen of my drives
(always the same:F) needs to be checked. If I click within ten second the
boot continues normally.
This would be only a nuisance were it not that when I want to defrag the F:
drive it is refused with the demand to defrag F: first. Aftre I chkdsk F: it
still does not want to defrag.....

Have you ever let it complete chkdsk or always clicked past it within 10
secs?
Let it complete or it will ask or delay everytime until it completes
