Force apps to install on second drive ?

I'm trying to find a way to force any new apps by defualt
to be installed on the D: drive leaving the C: only as a
OS drive. Is there a way to do this ?

Cheers,
JK

I would suggest you do the opposite:
install the OS on the second drive because usually the applications prefer
installing in c:\program files\...
so if you prefer having windows apart from the other applications it might
probably be easier to move IT rather than EACH program.
btw- why is this crucial to you? I heard of users saving their personal
files on the second drive in case of catastrophe but why the apps?

When installing apps, either do a 'custom' install or click on the 'browse'
button to select another drive or directory.. some apps automatically load
to C, so you will not see a 'custom' or 'browse' button..

You can edit this key in the registry. But as you are already a running system wierd things will happen.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion
ProgramFilesDir=
