Force Admin Shares on W2k Wks

Hi there,

I have a W2k domain with a working Active Directory. My clients are W2k
based and users are local admins on their wks.

Can I still force the Admin Shares on these wks? I tried the following
registry key:
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Parameters\AutoShareWks
= 1

But still users can remove their Admin Shares and this registry key remains
unchanged.

Is there any other way or forcing the admin shares besides taking the local
admin permissions from those users?

Do you maybe know of any Group Policy checking on the existence of admin
shares?

Just curious - why do users really need local admin rights?
Secondly - if they DO, and you have a policy specifying what they can't and
can do, and they violate it by changing something they shouldn't, are you
taking it up with management/HR?
