Hello,

I understand the fustration around ie7, and until there is a repair version
here are some solutions for you

1) use a stand alone version of ie6 even though you have ie7 installed:
Download ALL ie browsers in ONE package here: (also good for web designers)
http://tredosoft.com/Multiple_IE
direct download http://tredosoft.com/files/multi-ie/multiple-ie-setup.exe

2) Use www.avantbrowser.com that is a shell for the internet explorer
rendering engine (new interface)

3) Take a look at www.maxthon.com another shell, ver 2 coming soon.

4) put the menu toolbar of ie7 on top, see that and other tweaks here:
http://www.enhanceie.com/ie/tweaks.asp

5) Uninstall ie7 and run a standalone version of it, see here how you do it
http://tredosoft.com/IE7_standalone

NOTE with ie7 standalone some things do not work 100% as if it was installed

or if you want a similar portable version (one that does not need
installation) see here

http://forum.4shared.com/viewtopic.php?p=2885&sid=0acf11774b154091ada9377532ee0176

6) Use firefox 2.0

Dah...What you are saying is obvious of course.. I am giving people
alternatives
for keeping IE7 but not using it, or using IE7 even if its not installed
(stand alone)
