For my information: hiding names

Hello, All!

I opened a folder of graphics in Thumbnail form and all the
names had disappeared. I could not think of a way to search Help
to restore the names and I only found out by reading Pogue's
"The Missing Manual". Can anyone tell how I should have searched
Help. The solution to the cause of the trouble was that I must
have unintentionally touched the Shift key while opening the
folder (it's a toggle).

Thanks very much! It's a lot of useful stuff some of which I did
know already but not by any means all. I'm still scratching my
head to think why Microsoft did not see fit to make the
information available in Help. Surely, even Help could be
changed in an update!
