John,
I too am experiencing a similar problem. When I click on
a link within an email or a link with in a chat dialog or
even the "post reply" link to this very message board I
get nothing! No response at all from IE. ( I had to use
another PC to post this message)
When in Yahoo chat and I click on a link I am instructed
that I should go to Tools> Folder Options and associate
file with an application. That doest make sense to me!!
When I right click on a link with in an email it does not
appear to have hyper-link properties.
This has been going on for a few days now and very
disruptive !! I would appreciate and my boss would
appreciate any help with this problem .
Start/Run/[CMD for XP]. Type this command: REGSVR32 URLMON.DLL. Ok/Reboot.
Then go to: IE/Tools/Internet Options/Programs/Reset Web Settings.
Windows Explorer/Tools/Folder Options/File Types. Scroll down to
URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol/Advanced/Edit. Under Application used to
perform action it should read:
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -nohome
