Footnotes in Word 2007

Is there a way to use Word 2007 in-text citation to make footnotes? It's
cool the way the in-text citation manages the citation information in a long
document, but some publishers still want footnotes and endnotes. Is there a
conversion or some way to manage footnotes and endnotes short of creating
each one one at a time.

There is in Word 2008 for Mac. Word 2007 however does not know the
difference between in-text citations and footnote citations.

That said, if you would create your own bibliography style (involves some
xml/xslt knowledge), you could just add ordinary footnotes to your text and
then in the footnotes add the actual citation. A basic example of such a
style can be found at
http://bibliography.codeplex.com/Release/ProjectReleases.aspx?ReleaseId=20331 .
Note that it only works with citations at the moment and not with
bibliographies.
