Footnotes and Cross-References

Hi!,
I have a word document with more than 100 footnotes. I want to include also
cross-references. There is way that I can select all footnotes at once and
edit them with cross-references? Or I should go one by one.
Thanks!

Hi Xavier!

Your question doesn't quite make sense to me. What do you mean by
including cross-references? If you were going one by one, what exactly
would you do? What's the end result you want?

and, what version of Word?

Hi Daiya,
Sorry for this mess. I should not have written "cross-references" in my
original posting. (I was working on than on a separate issue). My doubt is
whether I can edit all my footnotes at once. In few words I want to change
the font size and style and of course, doing this one by one will take me a
lot of time.
Thanks! and sorry for the confusion.

Ah, much clearer.

To change the font size, etc, for footnotes, you want to modify the
style Footnote Text. Then Word will automatically change all text that
is formatted in the style Footnote Text to match the new style definition.
See here:

Note that this only covers the actual text of the footnote--the little
superscripted numbers are controlled by the Footnote Reference style.
(And there are equivalent styles for endnotes).
