Footnote is including the document's header!!

My document has one footnote in it and it is incorporating the document's
header!! How do I get the header out of the footnote?

I need help asap!!

Have you tried treating the document as corrupt? If you delete any section
breaks and then copy the contents (except for the final paragraph mark, ¶) to
a new document, does that fix things? Note that you may have to recreate
headers and footers after deleting section breaks.

Use Ctrl+Shift+8 to show/hide nonprinting marks, including paragraph marks.
