How do I get the footer(s) to show in a certain page only? I am doing a memo
for work with the footer. I posted the footer on the first page, but my memo
that I am doing is about 3-4 pages long. After I finish the memo, I noticed
that the footers we on all of the pages. How do I get the footer to show on
either the 1st page or the last page? Please help me

make your first page footer and then from header and footer toolbar or from
file\page setup click on layout tab and check "Different first page" and Ok.
:)

You can use the "Different first page" option to have a footer only on the
first page (though it works the opposite of the way "Harvey" suggests; see
http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/HeaderFooter.htm). For text to appear
only on the last page, use this field in your footer:

{ IF { PAGE } = { NUMPAGES } "Text you want on the last page" }

The text between quotes can be anything (graphics, tables, multiple
paragraphs, etc.). It's easiest to create this elsewhere and paste it into
the field. Note that if you do not use the Insert | Field dialog to insert
fields, you must use Ctrl+F9 to insert the field delimiters (the things that
look like braces but can't be typed from the keyboard).
