Footer too high

Hello All

I have a 4 line footer that I want to be as close to the bottom of the page
as possible, but whatever I do with the margins it seems to either not print
the last 2 or 3 lines or it all appears about 3cm above the bottom of the
page. Is there any way I can get it so that the bottom of the footer
(i.e.the 4th line) is 0.5cm above the bottom of the page?

Hope someone can help.
Many thanks
Les

The footer margin determines where the bottom line of the footer prints.
Additional lines push up from this point. If the footer is printing above
this margin, it may be that you have empty paragraphs below the footer text;
display nonprinting characters (Ctrl+Shift+8) to make it easier to determine
this. If the text is being shown at 0.5" in Print Layout view but is cut off
in Print Preview and doesn't print, then that is an indication that your
printer's nonprintable area is greater than 0.5" at the bottom of the page,
and you will have to increase the printer margin to accommodate it.

I've just realized that you are using centimeters. It's quite possible that
your printer is not capable of printing 0.5cm from the bottom of the page,
especially if it's an inkjet.
