Having Footer ony appear on 1st page of doc

Hi,

A) I am creating some letterhead and have put my address and phone
numbers inside the footer.

At the moment, that text in the footer appears in the footer of all pages.
However, it seems better/more proper to only have it appear in footer of
first page. (Unless I am incorrect and having the address and phone
numbers in footer of all pages is more conventional?)

How do I get the text in the footer to appear *only* on first page of
document?

B) When I started typing in the footer and creating line breaks with
<enter>, the footer automatically increased its height. I have had to
lower the bottom margin to 0.75 instead of 1". Is that a problem?
Should I leave it at 1" as far as perhaps printing is concerned, etc.?

Or perhaps, there is a way to type in the footer with line breaks and
have footer retain its original dimensions?

Thanks for the feedback--I am in need of getting this done ASAP as
working on proposal for Monday morning.
