footer in header

I have created a template for a document that has to be inserted within
another document. It works fine apart from the footer. The footer has two
lines of text that are centred. When the document is inserted into the other
document, the first line of text is as it should be but the second line has
moved to the left. What can I do to stop this happening please?

very, very hard to say unless we know exactly how the original header
was done. There are so many ways to position text, and especially in a
footer, they are all used (and some invent more as they go along :)).

It could and is likely to be a style issue (right indent or tab setting
differently in the two footer styles used). Or all sorts of direct
formatting.

How exactly are you inserting the text, and in what version?

Actually, I think this is the same poster as in the "footer in template"
thread in this newsgroup (in which case the issue has been resolved).
