We have created a password protected, spreadsheet on a
shared department drive. When I go into the document, the
date on the footer is different than the same date, in the
same footer, in the same file that another person goes
into. How can this be? We verified it is the same file
by changing some of the data. The data views the same on
both PCs. How can the Header and footer information be
different, viewed on two PCs, in the same file? Thanks in
advance. Ron

The date you see is that of the local PC. One (or more) date settings is
incorrect or the PCs could be on opposite sides of the international date
line :-)

1. Check the date is correct in the computer setup.
2. Check Excel Tools/Options/Calculation "1904 date system" is the sam
on both Pcs (the usual setting is to have this un-checked to us
1/1/1900 as base
