I typed a letter in microsoft word with fonts Times New Roman, then before
saving the file, I changed the fonts to Webdings. Now I want to read the
letter but when I try to change the fonts back to Times New Roman, I get
little rectangular boxes instead of the regular fonts. Any help!

Changing the font to Webdings was a bad move! Now you need a macro to get
your text back. See http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=290978 and, if
needed, http://www.gmayor.com/installing_macro.htm.

Hi

Try this:

ctrl-a to select all the text
ctrl-spacebar
ctrl-q

That will revert all the text to the default formatting of whatever style
you've used. You may need to reapply Times New Roman or other formatting to
the text.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Jay, but no luck. Macros are not running. At least I now know that I
shouldn't be saving the file by chaning the symbol fonts. Thanks for your
quick response.
