I am running Windows 2000 professional. I want to install
some new fonts. You are suppost to go to control panel,
font and from the file menu there should be a "install new
font" option. But it doesn't exist on my computer. I tried
just copying and pasting the fonts into the font folder,
but they are not being recognized. HELP!

In Windows Explorer Right-click the fonts folder. Choose Properties. Uncheck Read-Only if it is checked. Then OK out of this. If it's not checked, check it and OK out of this. If the later was the case you may be done. Skip to the next paragraph here. Next in Windows Explorer Right-click the Fonts folder. Choose Properties. Check Read-Only if it is not checked. Then OK out of this. If it's checked OK out of this

Now in Control Panel open the Fonts folder. Is it working now?
