Fonts problem

hi,

i have a problem with windows 2000 and fonts.
When i try to use a short key, for example alt+157
(diameter
symbol)in windows application i receive another symbol, if
i try in dos session i have no problem.

Please help me.

Use 4 digits, as in Alt+0157

The degree symbol is Alt +0176
You'll find the correct ASCII number in Windows Character map in the status
bar at the bottom when you click on a character - the biggest problem is
remembering those darned numbers.
