Fonts not Staying

we complete slides in a presentation with a certain
font. when we go back to that slide or close and reopen
the presentation the font has changed. it will look like
ariel but if you highlight the text and look at what font
it is suppose to be it is the correct font. if you print
it ...it prints out wrong. Help
 
Is the font a "true type" font?

Do you see a little TT next to the font name?
