Fonts in new emails are as small as dots

I have been using Office 2007 since RTM. Last week a problem started. If I
create a new email and type in the body of the email the text is as small as
tiny dots. To see the text I need to make the font size 100pt or more.

This is also happening for contacts, effecting the text in the notes part of
existing contacts.

I have picked through all the defaults I could find and they all seem set to
a reasonable value.

Has an else seen this problem and is there a way to fix it?

Not until you suggested it. I'm an office user and developer since 1991 and
never knew there was a zoom setting in Outlook.

Also, how did the line "After furious head scratching, CJB asked:" get into
the the post. Did the system automatically add that? It definately makes me
uncomfortable that that was added.

It is in my signature - I use OE Quotefix to customize my signature. After all, would you come here if you had not been furiously scratching your head trying to figure out the answer to your problem? :)

The zoom setting is added with Outlook 2007 use of a special Word .dll that adds many of the Word options to the native Outlook editing options.

Yes.
And I tell people who work for me this - "if it takes you more than 15
minutes to figure out something that has been done before, go ask how it is
done; save your brain time for something new". So, following that guideline,
I spent about 15 minutes picking through outlook settings and searching
Office Online - then I asked and never even thought to scratch my head.
(all in the best of humor).

So, thanks again for the help. I would not want to mess-up my hair by
scratching my head.
