fonts and colors gone crazy on xp pro (new user)

colors include pink in some backgrounds, orange (brite on
some fonts unreadable against backgrounds, some sites
appear w/ huge fonts some w/ normal.... can I restore to
an xp normal color/font setting?

Right-click on your desktop, and choose properties.

This will take you to the display settings. Click on
the "appearance" tab, and then use one of the default
options. Click ok, and it should revert.
