Font sizes not posting to web?

When you used front page, did you make use of the other tabs (HTML and
preview) at the bottom of the scrr=een? The preview shows you what it will
really look like.
I use the HTML tab a lot to fix spacing problems. If you know that you only
want 1 return (frontpage always seems to put in a big old paragrpah return)
the click on the place you want the return in the WYSIWYG screen, then click
on the HTML screeen, and enter <br> that will put in a return. The other
thing to avodi is tabs- uses spaces instead. Tables are good to use to force
things to stay in place.

Using word is very probelmatic, I've done it & had the smae problems. Try
going back to Frontpage & moving back & forth between the WYSIWG page & the
HTML page.

Some webhosts don't support "frontpage extensions" whatever that means. So
far I haven't had any prblems with that ,but I use WS-FTP 95 to send my stuff
over intstead of the publish thing in Frontpage.

If you hit Enter you will get a new paragraph, if you use Shift+Enter you'll get a <br>...this way you can use the Normal (design page) in FP.

If you are using any third party FTP program and your web site (host) is FP extension enabled you'll break the extensions...if you want to take full advantage of FP and your web has extensions installed (and working) then use File | Publish Web.

hth.

Need info

I've tried editing a text only webpage to change some font sizes but it
doesn't want to change. I was using Frontpage for a while but had problems
(line spacing, etc) with the finished product on the web not looking much
like the working product in Frontpage. Then I started using Word. That was
more predictable. Expect that I can't change the font sizes. Whatever I
change in Word doesn't seem to be uploaded to the web. Any ideas?

I will. I'm just starting at this.
I use the HTML tab a lot to fix spacing problems. If you know that you only
want 1 return (frontpage always seems to put in a big old paragrpah return)
the click on the place you want the return in the WYSIWYG screen, then click

I hate tables.....that is I know nothing about tables and find them
difficult to learn. Ah well - I guess that will end! Time to learn.
Using word is very probelmatic, I've done it & had the smae problems. Try
going back to Frontpage & moving back & forth between the WYSIWG page & the

Agreed. I guess its hard to expect Word to work in something its not
designed to do.

I was using LeechFTP version 1.3. Do you know it that supports "Frontpage
extensions"?

You should never use spaces to align anything web related. Use tables
instead.
As far as word.......don't copy/paste, it will import formatting that is not
compatible with HTML code
