Form Data not Posting to Access

G

Guest

I'm using Frontpage 2000, Access 2000, XP Pro.
I start new page and add a text box it and save as asp.
I name the text box the same name as DB field.
I connect form to DB.
I "preview in browser" and fill in text box and submit and the html page
comes up.
The database doesn't show any result.
What am I missing?

I go to my webs folder and open the folder and click on the asp page and it
opens FP. I was thinking it would open the browser. ???? how should I go
about it?

Also, when I click on 'preview in browser' I get a message "This page
contains elements that may need to be saved or published to preview
correctly". I don't know what I'm missing here????

How do you publish to IIS web server?--

You need to publish the site to a Windows IIS web server, then open the site in FP via http then
select Preview in Browser or directly in your browser at an address similar to:
http://www.yourdomainname.com/pagename.asp

You have to sign up with a Windows based web hosting service that offer ASP and Access support.

Have you installed the IIS web server that comes with Win XP Pro on your
local computer?
