Font issue? Excel locking up.

All excel files, small and large alike, will freeze when you try to format
the font. It does not matter if you use keyboard shortcuts or use the
format>cells menu. And it will only do it the first time and does not happen
until you close out and open another sheet.

I have verified that all settings on this machine match mine, changes the
default printer, uninstalled and deleted all registry keys, then reinstalled.
I have re-installed sp2 and othe updates. I ahve run out of options. Please
help.

Just something to try until you find the real answer...

Is your printer on a network server?

If yes, try adding a printer driver (you don't need to have the actual printer),
but make it local.

Then see what happens when you try changing fonts.

You may want to see if getting a fresh printer driver helps, too.
