A number of my installed fonts are invisible in the Font Viewer and in use.
I have a brand new hard disk and have installed Win XP with Service
release1, a ton of Windows and Office updates, and the bulk of my other
programs. I suddenly find that a large number of the installed fonts are
displaying as blank. When I double-click on one of the problem fonts in the
Fonts folder, the font viewer window shows the font sizes on the left, but
no characters following. In my web pages that use the problem fonts, the
text is invisible, even when other fonts are listed in the stylesheet to be
used if the first one is
missing. So WinXP must think that the font is there.
Here is a short list of some of the invisible fonts:
Algerian
Baskerville Old Face
Bauhaus93
Bell MT (all forms)
BrushScriptMT
Britannic Bold
Century Schoolbook (all forms)
Colonna MT
Wide Latin
All of the software that I have installed was installed on my previous hard
disk under WinXP with no problem
Ideas?.
