I recently upgraded to Outlook 2007 and I do not like the way that emails
appear that are in plain text. I do not like the font and any words with
apostrophes appear like this I'm. Can someone please tell me how to change
the font to a more desirable option and also how to stop apostrophes from
showing up as '.

Thanks!

I just realized that in this post the apostrophe showed up correctly but in
plain text emails in outlook they look like this & # 3 9 ; m without the
spaces in between the characters. Can someone help me please? :)

I looked up Fonts in help before I came to this forum but it did not answer
how to change the font in Plain Text. It tells me all about changing the
font in HTML and the other email fonts (but I knew how to do that anyway) and
how to switch between formats but my problem is that emails that reach my
inbox in plain text show up in with a font that I do not like and I can not
figure out how to change how those emails are displayed and the font that is
used for those emails.

Plain Text messages have no font. You can compose in whatever font you
choose in Tools>Options>Mail Format>Startionery and Fonts, but your
original problem description indicates an encoding problem.

Well I read in another thread that plain text emails are displayed according
to the settings in IE. Again I just upgraded to Outlook 2007 and now emails
that arrive in my inbox that are in plain text are displayed in this font
that I do not like. I tried to change the font in IE by changing the
language script to User Defined and then changing the font in the box that
says plain text but whenever I click okay and go back in to the font options
from the internet options menu the language script is back on Latin again. I
can't get it to stay on User Defined. This is becoming really frustrating
because I did not have any problems with the way that emails were displayed
before but since I have upgraded to Outlook 2007 from 2003 it appears that
all emails that reach my inbox that are in plain text (for examples emails
from sent from blackberrys or that were composed on yahoo web interface) are
in this ugly font. When I reply it replies in that same font as well unless
I switch the email format to HTML and then I am given an option to change the
font.
