When I try to open the font folder or install new fonts
XP generates the following error:

Faulting application explorer.exe, version 6.0.2800.1106,
faulting module kernel32.dll, version 5.1.2600.1106,
fault address 0x0001da62.

I've sent the error information off to MS using the event
reporting tool, but have yet heard of or found a fix for
this problem. Any ideas on how to fix this issue would
be appreciated.

Download and install TweakUI for Windows XP.
www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp. Go to the Repair
section and repair the Fonts folder.

If this method doesn't work, create a new folder on your hard drive called
FontsTemp. Then go to the Windows\Fonts folder and copy the font files,
one at a time, to the FontsTemp folder. After you've created a copy, delete
the original file. Try opening the Fonts folder again. Once you can open
the folder successfully, you've found the problem file. Just to be sure,
put the "copied" Fonts back one at a time.
