I just re installed XP home edition on my computer. I
have an extra hard drive that I copied my files onto. It
is an NTFS drive. I can browse the files on this drive
(d
however some of the folders and files won't open,
with the messege "access denied." I have done the
startup in safe mode and set the security
to "Everyone" "Administrator" and "Administrators."
However, sometimes i can open some of the files, yet
other folders on this drive won't let me access the
files. Is there any way to simply remove all of this
permission nonsense? I am the only person using this
computer, my login has Administrator rights, yet i'm
having a ton of trouble gaining access to my old files on
the d: drive. Any help or advice is appreciated!
