folders being copied / security settings

I am replacing a domain controller W2K (DC1). I have a new domain controller
setup W2K (DC2) and will be moving 2 sets of folders from DC1 to DC2. They
are the Sys2 and Users folders. The Users folders are user security specific.

My plan was to use the Arcserve BrightStor program to restore from tape the
2 sets of folders to DC2. The goal would be that the security informatioon
for the 2 folders and all subfolders would be the same.

Has anyone tried this approach and had success in the security information
staying intact? Is their a Windows program that somes with Windows that will
work?

I did this before but I used the 'Arcserve copy' feature. It copied the
files across the LAN preserving file and folder attributes (owners, rights,
etc.).
This was a few years ago and, hopefully, Arcserve still has this feature.
