Folder View Outlook 2003

Raymond Nichols

I recently renamed my Outlook.pst file so I could replace it with a
Outlook.pst file from my main computer. This allows me to keep up to date
on my laptop. I have done this numerous times in the past. Both systems us
Outlook 2003 with all the current updates.

This time, when I did it there are two Personal Folders showing in the
Folder View. They are exact duplicates of each other. There is only one
pst file indicated in my data path. I have noticed that when I go to E-mail
Accounts and look in the "Deliver New Mail To The Following Location" there
are to Personal Folders listed.

There is no menu option in the folder view to delete the duplicate Personal
Folder.

I believe this is due to the listing in the "Deliver New Mail To The
Following Location" even though there is only one PST file in the Data File
directory.

Is there a way to correct this?

Thanks for any help,

Ray

Thanks Russ.

This has never been the correct way to migrate PST files. It corrupts your
profile. Never rename a PST file. Never "replace" or overwrite a PST file.
Your profile is now corrupt. Create a new one from scratch and follow the
Help Files instructions for migrating PST files:

You will corrupt your mail profile if you do.
