Folder tree

How can set the view for all folders to display the folder tree in the right
pane. It can be set for the current folder by clicking the Folders icon in
the tool bar. Using the command in Tools/Folder Options/View tab to set all
folders like the current one does not work either.

Perhaps this is a registry setting?

See if there is something for you at Kelly's link below. Click on "F",
and scroll down to the section that discusses folders.
 
You can't. It's not a folder setting. Use Explorer on the start menu for two pane mode.
 
Copy and paste this into notepad and save as folder.reg:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shell]
@="explore"

Double click to merge to force all explorer windows in two paned "explore" mode
instead of one paned "open" mode.
