Based on the size of the folder, I suspect that the manufacturer of your
computer uses this folder to hold applications that are pre-installed on
your system or that you can install if you choose.
What is in the folder? That should give you more clues. Your computer
documentation should also give you some ideas on this if it was present when
you got your system or contact the computer manufacturer for more
information.
