Folder Sharing - Still a Problem

I have 2 WinXP Pro systems (both current) and I am unable to get File
Sharing to work. I've gone back to Simple File Sharing and used the Network
Wizard to no avail. SYS1 is my main system and SYS2 is the other computer.
On each computer I have shared the root of the C drive (I am the only person
in the house). I use a Linksys WRTP54G (VoIP wireless router). When I look
at Network Places I can see both systems under "MyGroup". If I am on SYS1 I
can see entries for "Administrator", Printers and Faxes and "Drive C" for
SYS1 but if I click on Drive C I get an "Access Denied" popup. I can browse
the SYS2 printers just fine. If I am on SYS2 and click on the SYS1 entry on
Network Places I get an error with the additional information "Network Path
Not Found"

I used to move data back and forth between these systems with no problem.
The VoIP router is new and I am wondering if something in there is causing
this problem?

it is somewhat complex
to initially sort out the
issues.

the only thing i could suggest
is to see if using a third party
program can bypass the hurdle
you have at this time.

most of the time third party software
know what services and files
need to engage in order to
accomplish their tasks. In this
case the networking functions.

the reason i recommend a third
party program is that if it is
able to accomplish the networking
task then this could not only
facilitate the sharing of your files
but may also provide some enlightenment
into the possiblilities that are inflicting
your o.s. from directly connecting your
pc's without assistance from a third party.

if the third party program, as a fulcrum
between your pc's is also having
a difficult time of sharing your
files then this too can be enlightening.

here is a link of the program
that i have tried out and found no
issues with. however, there are
other third party programs and
probably a bit more powerful
as well...

a) WORKGROUP must be named the same on both computers.
b) user and password can be the same to simlify things (single user).
c) Choose which folders to share on each machine.
