Can Not access XP in Domain

J

Jim

I have Windows 2K Adv Servers all within the same domain.
ie.
Server1
Server2
Domain1 (My domain does not have a " .com" it is a
private LAN, like the example shown.)

As workstations in the network we have Win98 SE and XP
Pro machines. I have a printer on the one of the XP Pro
boxes I share with the other XP Box. (No problems)
however, I need to also share the printer with 2 Win98
machines as well. The DNS services and addresses I
believe are correctly setup as well.

In the XP Pro boxes the computer and domain names are
also correctly in place. (DN=DOMAIN1, Sys1=Admin1,
Sys2=Admin2) However, I can not access the domain users
list from the DC active directory to allow others within
the LAN to share resources on either XP Pro box. but the
XP boxes automatically are able to share between them
between themselves. both printers & files.

What am I missing in my XP or Win98 configuration to be
able to share the XP resources??? Is there a "Helper"
application or setting I've overlooked??

Thanks in advance for your assistance!

You didn't scroll far enough and I apologize for not being more specific:
windowsxp.network_web.

You're welcome.

Nonetheless, you have a greater shot there of getting a response than on
this board which is actually meant to deal with XP accessibility features as
opposed to networking.
