Folder settings apply to ALL folders

Hi,
I'm wanting to have certain folders show hidden files and system
files, and others not.
Whenever I change the 2 settings to show hidden files and not hide
system files it applies this view to all folders not just the current
one.
I've done bagmru increase and deleted all the applicable reg files but
still cannot have different settings. I'm starting to think that amybe
it is not possible!
My view in terms of icon, thumnail and details etc does change ok for
different folders.
Anyone got any ideas?

That's a all or nothing setting, Richard. No per-folder way to do it :-(
