Folder Security

Actually this question pertains to Windoes but I do not know where to ask
this question. Please guide.
I am using Windows XP Professional. I am having stand alone PC. There is no
networking on my PC.
I want to restrict access to my folders by other log in users. When I right
click on the folder -> Properties -> Sharing, I can see the option of "to
make this folder and its sub-folders private so that only you can have access
to it, select the following check box" The check box below this message reads
"Make this folder private".
Unfortunately, this check box and message appears in very light grey color
and it appears to have been 'LOCKED' - i.e. I can not select of un-select the
check box. Incidently, the check box is having a tick mark inside it.
I can also see that all other users of my PC do have access to my folders.
I do not want to store my folders in C Drive. I am storing them in different
drive for better space management.

microsoft.public.windowsxp.security_admin seems likely.
