Folder resizing

When I open a folder after resizing it is the size that I adjusted it to be, and this may last for a couple of days. Then I can open the same folder and it has resized (maxiumized) to its original size. Once again, I will resize it and check to ensure it has been re-siized and its okay, but when I open it the next day it is once again maximum. Please help.

What do you mean resize a folder . A folder does not have
a size it is only an address for your files , its size is
determined by the size of the files inside ?
