folder properties does not work

Hi, I have a hidden folder that I want to make visible.
I know how access folder properties, right-click and
click on properties, but when I do this, nothing happens.
I have let the computer sit and think about this, nothing
seems to work. Everything else in the right click menu
however, does work. I don't have any virus' I use norton
and update at least once a week and defrag regularly
too. Any ideas please e-mail me or respond. Thanks
