Hi group,

I'm using fp2002 on win xp pro. Have fp server extensions 2002 installed,
too.

If I right click any of the folders of my project, the checkboxes for
"Allow scripts or programs to be run"
"Allow anonymous upload to this directory"
"Allow uploaded files to overwrite existing files"
are all disabled and unchecked.
I can't find any way to enable them. I need them to enable upload to one of
the folders.

Anybody had this problem ?

Thank you,

Andrei.

In order to set permissions on your folders, you need to have your site open live on the server

File > Open Web > in the location field type your web address (www.yourdomain.com
When the site opens right click your folders and select the permissions

If you are still unable to set permissions, contact your host as they would need to apply them

Hi JDR and thanks for your answer,

I tried File > Open Web, but the dialog that pops up asks for an absolute
location on my computer, not for a web address.
If I try <mymachine/mywebsitename> it tells me that that's not a valid
location on the computer.
I also tried with the www.<mydomain>.com and it's the same answer...
Am I looking in the wrong place ?

Anyway, I need first to make it work on my computer, so I'm using the local
server. And even so, those checkboxes are still grayed out...
Is it possible to have some settings which control this behaviour ?

Could you please give some more hints ?

Thank you.

Andrei.

Try opening your live web from the listing in My Network Places and then going
to folder view.
