FOLDER PROBLEM

I just set up new folders on my desktop. I cannot double
click to open. I must right click and open. If a double
click to opens the search.

Nutcase is correct. You should also know that placing entire folders on the desktop is a bad practice. The larger they get the longer it will take your system to boot as it has to load entire folders as it starts. You should only have shortcuts to your folders on the desktop. This goes for programs as well. Shortcuts are only around 46k in size so don't take much time to load whereas files can be any size(limited by the size of you drive and available space). Good luck.
