Folder pictures and Types change randomly

I am running XP Professional. I have quite a few folders
that I have set the Folder Picture to an image within the
folder. Typically a photo or album art.

The issue is that some folders appear to randomly change
the picture as well as even the folder type. This
happens even to folders that I have not changed the
default picture for, such as system folders, and program
file folders.

Go to Setup & Deployment group column to left click
