folders will not stay customized

Does anyone know why this same post was deleted from this board (twice)?
We first posted it on 07/22/2007, and re-posted it when it was never answered
(to increase visibility).

When we customize folders, the folders will swap the pictures placed on
them with random pictures in our picture folders. Lately, however, it has
been putting the same photo on all the folders. Some will re-check the "Also
apply this template to all sub-folders." check box after we uncheck it and
close the "Properties" window). I do not know if this is happening to all
folders, but it is not happening to all of the folders at the same time.
Also, in "My Folders", the folders have random pictures on them even
though some of them do not have "Customize" tabs or contain pictures. We have
checked the folders from the top down, restting the customize tabs and
pictures as we go, but they continue to take on random pictures. Hm-m-m-m...

The old posting has currently expired likely due to traffic on the
group,(try looking it up in google groups?) As for your directory
issues, try back up all your important files and then run chkdsk on the
drive.
