Folder Opening Options

Suddenly when i open any folders they open with the "search" option as oposed
to "open".
If you right click on any folder then "search" is bolded and top of the
list, how do i change back yo "open"

Hi ya - it sounds like this would have worked for me if I had made the
mistake of inserting/attaching the wrong exe program to the open command. As
I said in an other post, now when I point and click on my driver folder a
message about installing a modem appears.

I can't access the edit or remove functions under the advanced tab of file
extension in the folder options menu.

Any suggestions??

I have the same problem, but not for files, for drives. Whenever I click
on my c drive, g drive (external hard drive) or usb drives, it opens with
search instead of actually opening and showing the contents. And when i plug
a different item into the usb port, it opens in search mode. I don't
understand how to use the regedits and I am not sure if the one listed at the
site given would work in my case anyway.
