Folder Names Partially Obscured

I am experiencing strange behavior my Outlook 2003. Suddenly, the name of
every email folder is partially truncated. Actually, it is more like the
names are cut off because in some instances a half letter is visible!

This seems to affect every folder, regardless of the length of its title.
About 1/3 of the end of the folder name is cut off. Does anyone have any
idea what may be causing this and how to correct it?

Many thanks for your help.

Thank you for that suggestion. I am hesitant to try the suggestion you
provided because I have over 100 folders, all of which have folder views that
have been customized to use non-standard fields and fonts. As I under stand
the cleanviews switch, it will remove all this customization and sentence me
to hours of busy work to return my preferences to Outlook.

I will try cleanviews as a last resort, but I am hoping to find a less
destructive solution. Thanks again for your help.

When did this issue start? Have you checked your application and system event
viewers for any errors?

You could try the following: close Outlook, rename the outcmd.dat file (it's
hidden), and then open Outlook again.

No success. My event viewers do not show anything unusual. Renaming the
file you suggested had no effect. Any other suggestions? I appreciate your
help!

Kathleen,

Before I had an opportunity to try your suggestion, I started experiencing
more weird Outlook behavior. This morning, sent email no longer appear in
the Sent Items Folder. I have already verified that my email handling
options are set to "Save copies of messages in Sent Items folder."

Do you think this could be related to the other problem? Or resolved by
your original advice?

Many thanks. This is driving me crazy!!!

Kathleen,

Ignore my last post! That problem was related to a clock error. Sent items
were appearing in the Sent Folder just under a different date!
