folder? link?

I'm using XP Home, SP2. A few months ago I switched from Earthlink to
Verizon dsl. I kept the Earthlink software and continued to use the
Earthlink toolbar because it had all my Favorites and, at least according to
Verizon, there was no easy way to transfer them. Yesterday, inexplicably,
the Favorites disappeared from the EL toolbar though I had been using them
for months. I located them at the following location (thinking I would just
copy them down by hand and retype in my Verizon home page): c: Docs and
Settings\Jerome Nadelhaft\Application Data\Earthlink 6.0\then my old EL
address\Favorites.....

So I went to My Computer, c: docs and settings\ Jerome Nadelhaft\ but then
there was no Application Data to click on. So the question is how do I
follow the links to get all the way to Favorites?

Application Data is a hidden folder. To show it, select Tools | Folder
Options | View, then check the option to show all files. You can also type
folder paths directly into the Explorer address bar. They'll open whether
hidden or not.

And once you establish standard "Favorites" IE can export them as links
in a "web page" that can be read with ANY browser. The resulting file
can be e-mailed or copied to a floppy, CD-R or thumb drive for use on
another computer.
