Folder is Full - Outlook 2007, Windows XP SP3

I have started getting this message and have read all the threads on it. I
fat-fingered a folder name in Outlook today and when I tried to rename it, I
got "Folder is Full". I tried to rename another folder, same problem. I
tried to move a folder under another folder, same problem.

I created several new folders and that worked fine. I'm able to move
messages into folders. I started Outlook in safe mode and was able to delete
the fat-fingered folder and move folders where I wanted them.

I deleted 12MB of messages from my PST folder. I've cleaned up my sent
items and deleted items folders and created even more space.

My PST folder is a 97-2002 format. It has 460MB of messages in it. I have
63GB of free space on my C drive.

Is the only solution to create a new PST folder and copy everything over?????

Second question: Should I wonder why my Outlook 2007 upgrade didn't update
my 97-2002 format PST folder?

TIA!

Have you run scanpst.exe on the problem data file? (with outlook closed)
Upgrading Outlook does not upgrade the data file.
You would need to create a new data file, in native unicode format, set that
new data files as default (via Mail Applet or Data File management, with
Outlook closed) Then copy data from your old set to the new set of Personal
Folders.

I did find scanpst and ran it. It did find errors. I did repair them. Then
I rebooted. The problem still persists.

Any other ideas?

What is the size shown for this set of Personal Folders?; within Outlook,
Properties of Personal Folders.
Or if you have hidden files available in Explorer, check there

And its really irritating when you multi post rather than cross post, so
that we can see all responses, including those from your other thread

Ok, I 'm not sure what I'm doing that is so irritating. When I view the
messages in this thread, they are all in the thread one after another. I
don't know what you mean by "multipost" vs "crosspost". Excuse my ignorance!

My PST folder is 453MB.
I have run Scanpst multiple times and have no errors.
I have 62.8Gb of freespace on my C drive.
I still have this "file is full" error.
