How do I delete a Outlook Folder when it says "folder is full"?

I am using Outlook 2007 and can't delete, rename or move any folder in the
Personal folder. I backed up everything into a new PST but can't do anything
with the old PST. I saw an older disucssion about this from 2006 but no
resolution. Whenever I try to delete I get a pop up that the "fodler is
full". Other times it says can't delete because the folder is full and that
I need to contact my admin. I am the only user and admon on this Vista
machine

Was this .PST file created with Outlook 2007, or is it from a prior version?
If this is an Outlook 97-2002 ANSI format file, it has a hard size limit of
1.6 Gb and will produce error messages like you're seeing when it is full.
An Outlook 2003-2007 Unicode .PST file has a much larger size limit, about
20 Gb.
