Folder in Documents and Settings

I have a question about the folder caled C:\Documents and Settings - not my
user account name. There are currently 3 folders in Documents and Settings:
Administrator, All Users and the 3rd folder is our name - lets say John
Jones. I would like to change John Jones to something else. I can see that
it's very easy to change the folder name - it's just a folder. Will
changing the name cause any problem elsewhere? The computer in question is
part of a small home network and I don't want to cause any problems there.
I can definitely live with it, but the name is wrong and it bugs me. Thanks

You cannot change a user account by only changing the name. None of the
underlying files/folders will change.

Instead, create a new user account for yourself with the desired name
and copy the data and settings from the wrong account to the new one.
You will need to log into the new account once before you can copy
anything to it. After you've made your changes, you can then delete the
old incorrect account.

You can/should not change the folder name. This is created whenever your
create(created) a new user account.

You will need to create a new user account (with the correct spelling) and
move any/all documents that you want to keep. Then, you could remove the
"old" account.
