Folder frezes

I have a folder or directory that whenever I click on it my system freezes.
It's always the same folder. I scanned it for a virus and threre is none.
Is it possible this folder got currupt? If so can I save the files in that
folder?

I'm using windows xp pro SP2
AMD 1800+ processor
with 768MB ram

Is the folder a System or 3rd party one? Can you access the folder from a
command prompt?

Hello,

The folder is not a system or 3rd party one, and I cannot access it via the
command prompt. I can access the folder via windows, however it locks up
when I try and scroll, or sometimes even if I click on the folder.
