Folder consideration

Recently created an Outlook 2003 email POP account. It presently has the
deleted and search folders. The only additional folder I would want is a
sent folder. I recieve incoming from a web based email provider and do not
want the additional volume of mail on my machine. How can this be
configured. Guidance sought.

You can create any new folder you want via File-> New-> Folder

Your not very clear on your issue here though. How does the incoming mail
you do not want relate to not having a Sent Items folder?

Sorry for any confusion. The incoming part was only for completeness. I
have created a mailbox in Outlook 2003 which at present has a deleted and
search folder. I would like to add a folder that will keep a copy of emails
I have sent from this account. Adding a folder from 'file', 'new' does
create a sent folder but it does not populate with mail sent from this
account.

You have created an additional folder set (pst-file) in Outlook; not created
an account.

In Outlook 2007, you can assign a POP3 account its own folder set. You
cannot do that in Outlook 2003. You can use outgoing rules to move a copy to
any additionally created folder set in Outlook 2003 and previous.
